In a distant galaxy, Matthieu and Gary, two long-time friends, wanted to take on a new challenge and carry out a project of 100% French eyewear . Their idea is not to simply offer acetate glasses made in France but to bring a new opportunity to the French eyewear market with an ecological and innovative dynamic: Gravity was born.
Gravity because gravity is one of the fundamental interactions that govern our Universe and this attraction of bodies is also found in the processes 3d printing because it is by bonding a material and powder that one obtains objects by SLS printing. But also Gravity because it is the gravity which makes you stand up, which makes your glasses hold on your nose and your ears and it is the whole structure of the Universe which is determined by gravity, just like the Gravity glasses structure .
Gravity is also and above all the desire to bring together French know-how and eyewear to offer glasses Made in France at a fair price and it is thanks to 3D printing that this project has become a reality. 3d printing is an innovative technique but it is also and above all the possibility, in many fields, including that of eyewear, to be able to give free rein to your imagination in the creation of its models !
Indeed, classic glasses and their design are often subject to significant technical constraints when it comes to creation. With 3D printing most of these constraints disappear! So we decided to bring together all that is best in our 3d printed frames .
From the start, the first designs of Gravity 3D glasses were talked about by opticians: a Made in France product, at an affordable price and in an innovative technique, that did not go unnoticed!
